The Manyara National Park in northern Tanzania covers an area of around 330 square kilometres against the backdrop of the East African Rift Valley and is known for its evergreen acacia forests, ancient baobab trees of impressive size, grass Savannah and of course the alkaline lake of Manyara, which is the main attraction of the park. Some consider the Manyara National Park to be the most beautiful garden in Africa.
The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, zebras, wildebeest, as well as more than 400 species of birds. Including pink flamingos, which can be seen in large numbers on the lakeshore. Aspecial attraction are tree-climbing lions; a unique phenomenon that can only be observed in this park. Nevertheless, you will find that wildlife is less present then in parks like the Serengeti. Here your ability to observe, search and find is required. With a little spirit of discovery, you can spot the animals of the park in the green of the forests.
